Terms of Service

The service

Teardown lets you upload a photo of an object and generates an exploded-view blueprint and a parts list using artificial intelligence and publicly available information. Features may change as we improve the product.

Your account

You must be at least 13 years old and give accurate information. You’re responsible for keeping your password safe and for activity on your account. Tell us right away at nelsonleiva8@gmail.com if you think your account has been compromised.

Free trial

New accounts signed in with a verified email (such as Google sign-in) get a free trial of 3 days and 1 free scan, with no payment details required. Free scans are limited per day across all users and may be unavailable at busy times. When the trial ends, you need a paid plan to keep scanning. Your existing blueprints stay available.

Plans, billing and renewal

• Pro includes 25 scans per month and Max includes 75. Unused scans don’t roll over.
• Monthly plans are charged automatically every month through Wompi until you cancel.
• Yearly plans are a single payment covering 12 months. They don’t renew automatically; we’ll remind you before the year ends.
• Prices are in US dollars and shown before you pay. Wompi processes all payments.
• If we change prices, the change applies from your next billing period, and we’ll tell you in advance.

Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel anytime from the Billing page. After you cancel, you won’t be charged again, and your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for. Payments are non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise or where we decide to make an exception. If something went wrong, email us and we’ll do our best to make it right.

AI accuracy

Blueprints and parts lists are generated by AI and can contain mistakes. When we find real documentation for an object, we mark the parts as “sourced” and link to the source. When we can’t, we mark them as “estimated”. Either way, results are for information and inspiration only. They are not professional, engineering or safety advice. Don’t rely on them to open, repair or modify devices involving mains electricity, batteries, pressure, fuel or other hazards. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions and consult a qualified professional.

Your content

You keep ownership of the photos you upload. You give us permission to process them to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You may use your generated blueprints for personal or commercial purposes. If you make a blueprint public, you allow anyone with the link to view it. Only upload photos you have the right to use.

Acceptable use

Don’t use Teardown to:

• break the law or infringe anyone else’s rights;
• upload illegal, harmful or sexually explicit content, or photos of people without their consent;
• get instructions for weapons, explosives or anything intended to cause harm, or bypass safety, security or anti-tamper mechanisms;
• probe, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service, or resell automated access to it.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

Disclaimers and liability

Teardown is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We don’t guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for decisions you make based on generated results. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Ending your use

You can stop using Teardown and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or end access for violations of these terms, and we’ll give notice where reasonably possible.

Changes

We may update these terms. We’ll change the date above, and for significant changes we’ll notify you by email or in the app. Continuing to use Teardown after changes means you accept them.
